Dezel was furious and worried as he searched Verens for Rose, ready to swear vengeance on whoever took her. His deep caring for her was made him agree to work with Kor and, over the course of their mission, he learned to trust to kid and his judgement (enough that their emotional bond was sealed and Dezel became visible to Kor when the link ended!).
