[ shinji still isn't sure how he got roped into playing gardener to a bunch of monster plants taller than he is, but there's something satisfying about watching them settle down after a couple shots of whatever serum is in the gun he's been handed. so satisfying, in fact, that the air around him is warm from sunshine cutting through the vague haze of storm clouds still hovering around. he steps over some oversized bluebells, eyes on the ivy creeping (literally) up a shop wall, much quicker than a plant has any damn right to. he's focused enough he doesn't notice the daffodil attracted to his personal sunspot until he's getting smacked in the face with the blossom. ]

Agh--hey! Get off! Daffodils aren't even man-eating, what're you coming at me for!

[ irritation swells, and he fumbles to shoot the damn thing, already. he realizes a beat too late that the sunshine has faded, and not only is the daffodil swinging toward him again, the pansies he'd been ignoring are rising menacingly at him.

did he just accidentally pick a fight with a bunch of plants? apparently.

with a groan, he pushes the daffodil away one-handed, pulling the trigger on the serum gun until the damn thing settles down, but by then the pansies are hovering over him, and there's grass wound around his ankles. ]

Oh, come on. Let go! [ directed at his feet. with a sigh, he regards the pansies. ] Look, I don't care how great I am, feeling me up's--[ he sprays them-- ] definitely not part of photosynthesis.

[ at least he doesn't have allergies? as it stands, he's pretty satisfied with his nerdy one-liner, enough that the sun is slowly coming back. ]

How many more of these even are there... [ he reaches up to loosen his collar, and then points at the ivy like it's even listening to him. ]

You're next, don't think I forgot about you. Nobody wants boa constrictor plants.

[ after this, maybe he'll go next door. the sooner this is over with, the better. ]
