[Camilla decided that today was a day to treat herself, and was spending the afternoon in a popular cafe in town. She hadn't been in Verens very long, so the outing both gave her a chance to relax and to better her understanding of the city.]
[But truth be told, she had another reason for the outing. She understood and had almost accepted that there was nothing she could do about being in Verens, but she couldn't stop worrying about the situation at home all the same. As she took a leisurely sip of coffee and eyed the bon bons on the table, her thoughts naturally drifted back to Corrin.]
[Really, how dare -CRACK, a nearby waiter had several porcelain cups explode on his tray- Hoshido take Corrin!? Who did they think they were? Sure, Corrin might be Hoshidan by blood -had the coffee been this hot when it had first arrived? but that didn't change the fact that they were her dear younger sibling.]
[And that said nothing of the effect that Corrin's abduction had on the rest of the Nohrian family. Poor Elise was trying hard to be strong and not complain, but she hadn't smiled once since Corrin went missing. If there was one thing Camilla could not abide -the person next to her hadn't ordered bananas foster, but suddenly he found that his banana sundae was on fire it was somebody daring to take away the smile of her sunshine.]
[Leo, of course, had masked his pain better, but it was easy to tell that him suddenly deciding that he needed to spend more time in the palace library wasn't a coincidence. Leo might not have always been the least temperamental person, but certainly -customers were starting to complain, had someone turned on the heat?- anyone who hurt him would feel the wrong end of her axe.]
[Not to mention Xander, poor Xander. Xander was the hardest to read and best at masking his feelings, but nonetheless, how much he was hurt was apparent. Xander would soon be charged with the responsibility of leading Nohr, and that anybody in Hoshido would interfere -whatever that scream was coming from the kitchen, it couldn't be good- simply set her blood to boil.]
[Sighing, she sat down her cup. She had come here to get her mind of things, but it wasn't helping. She would do better to just go home.]
[As she gathered up her things, she looked back down at her seat. She hadn't expected it closely when she sat down, but now that she had a good look, there were very large scorch marks etched into the wood. Really, to let such a thing go unchecked, what kind of cafe were these people running?]
Here it is! :D
