Another person that has quite a high significance in Flynn's life is Estelle. The princess thinks of the man in very high regard, and often tells Yuri time and time again about how kind of a person he is. She often states how she could confide many times with the man, and that he was very easy to talk to. Even before advancing higher in his ranks, Flynn would often take the time, even if it was only for a few minutes, to talk with the princess after being away on a mission for long periods of time.
Flynn is very respectable to her- treating her as true royalty. His speech is very formal to her, and even in a heated argument with another person, he quickly deflates when she is in the picture. This can be seen once Flynn is finally reunited with Yuri in Capuar Nor, after discovering his friend had become a wanted criminal. Here he lashes out at Yuri, but once Estellise arrives to greet the Knight, he immediately becomes sheepish once she embraces him. Never a mean or harsh word is spoken to her, rather soft spoken and positive. She is able to quickly turn the tables of his emotions and brings forth a more gentler person of the Knight.
Flynn too, like most of the people he comes across, is very protective over Estelle. He worries about her traveling and going into dangerous situations. But in the end, with the knowledge that Yuri would take good care of her, Flynn entrusts her to his friend. He wishes for the princess to have more freedom and to experience the world much like himself, and by this want he has allowed her to continue along with her travels despite the constant worry.
Estelle is a person close to Flynn's heart, and is able to melt away any of the hardness that surrounds it.
