As to your question, there is no immunity. He would still feel the effects and in his case, rather than death he would have to worry about, it's the sense of ceasing to exist entirely. Of course in-game process would just have him "die" but since no one has actually died and come back (only one death so far and not exactly a known one), it's something that no one ICly really knows about.
