Would it be possible to app a character (such as Gabranth here) from both his Dissidia and Final Fantasy XII canon? Especially in his case, where it is implied that he was drawn from Ivalice relatively post-death the events of Final Fantasy XII.

I realize that canonical 'Alternate Universe' versions (such as KH versions of FF characters) are allowed, but as none of the characters from Dissidia are actually different from their main-source counterparts I was wondering how the mechanics of that worked.
