I did read that page! It's just that, for this guy, any mental intrusion is going to be highly unwelcome, to say the least, even a mild mental hum/ping/etc. (To say nothing of the end of month check-in compulsion...) Which would certainly make things... interesting, to put it mildly!

Would taking the amulet off but having it nearby negate the notification of incoming messages, or is that unavoidable as long as it's in close enough proximity to offer its benefits?

... somewhat related, how durable are the amulets/crystals? Would someone have to be careful not to drop it on a hard surface, or would it take significant force to break?
