Well, no, they don't have any consciousnesses of their own, they're completely Fil's bodies, they were created for Fil specifically in a special fluid that let Fil occupy it again and again after a body breaks down and needs to be rebuilt. They would be empty husks without Fil's mind in them but they also exist because there is Fil.
