1) OH OKAY. Yeah, as a Digimon player that's one of the biggest hurdles I run into whenever I considered a character - to the point that I very rarely do so anymore. So it's actually really appreciated! (And also helps with one of my other fandoms I'm considering.)
So by and large, ShineGreymon (and most Digimon of his final level) are on a power scale easily equatable to the giant robots mentioned in the very first question at the top, so I fully expected him to be cut off from the start at least. Hell, I'd be fine if he could only go up to his first stage but knowing you're open to being flexible depending on the situation is encouraging! Since limiting it but not completely blocking it off does also set up the potential of throwing obstacles in the characters' way, which I'm all for. The series Masaru hails from, Digimon Savers, has all of the protagonists literally manifesting the power of emotion itself into energy and the ability for their Digimon to evolve, so... that definitely falls in line with the game's concept, eh? What you're suggesting seems to line up really well with both the canon and the game's concept from what I'm reading, so I'm not really sure I have a whole lot else TO add outside a forthcoming app. :)
