This should hopefully answer your question. It's essentially the same process as the real world, in which they are buried or cremated. If cremated, the urns holding the ashes are buried (or placed in a family tomb or something similar) or sent off over lake, reminiscent of the floating lanterns for the Night of Selenium.

These are all low-key affairs if there's a funeral, unless the deceased was an influential, well-known person.
