Since then he's not only learned how to feel things that aren't momentary excitement and joy, he's also learned how to genuinely care about people! A good amount of this was because other people were really nice to him even after he told them about his issues, but part of it also came from a desire to change himself. Because he really doesn't want to end up an apathetic mess like Kimbley. Ryuunosuke wants to feel things! So he'll do his best to keep learning how to feel things.
Initially his crystal couldn't hold much of anything because apathy was constantly destroying it, but he's reached the point where he pumps ridiculous amounts of appreciation into everything he does. It's not forced and he genuinely is really happy here, so that's... good? Probably? He's still an awful person but boy is he having fun.
Recently Ryuunosuke's come to the realization that people will actually be hurt if something happens to him. (Cut him some slack, he's bad at this!!) While he's very curious about death and would absolutely love to try dying once, he's ultimately decided to place his friends over himself and not do anything colossally dumb because this would upset them. He's still figuring out friendship and why he feels weird when his friends are upset but he's come a long way since he arrived!
