The brighter it shines, the longer its light shall pass from one generation to the next.
Words like that might not mean much to anyone else but in the past six months, they have defined Komaeda's path moving forward. He started out on shaky ground, uncertain what the future might hold but willing to push towards it. He clawed and fought against anything that threatened his hopes. Even going so far as to laugh in Junko Enoshima's face instead of being battered or broken as he would have in the past. He had decided his place in the world was beside his friends, and in getting better.
Peromei needs him. His friends need him. He even went so far as to go against his sense of self worth and to reach for the position of representative. He mended old hurts between him and Hinata and ever has dared to love. But it hasn't been without darkness. His memories that had been supressed are coming bubbling to the surface like a lanced boil. Komaeda's decided that in order to be all he can be he needs to balance between what he once was and what he is today.
For both, are vital to the future and to the flame of hope that's become a burning star within him.
