His issues with anger aren't as prominent as they were and under better control, and his self-doubt comes and goes, but not in the manner it had plagued him before. To believe that he can do some good and not be held back by past mistakes, and to even be seen as someone dependable and amazing to others that aren't his pokémon -- feels good, man.
However, new and old friendships have made him question his own morals and beliefs as he's had to acknowledge how complicated a person's past can be. That has made him hold some doubt as he's tried to find some way to comfortably accept people and their histories against his simplified view of the way the world should be, but it's all been hidden away inside his crystal by how better focused he's become, and how a lot happier he's allowed himself to be again and to just keep doing things no matter what's frustrating him.
