He's more open as a person and a bit more comfortable with himself and his place in the world. He made friends, notably developing a romantic relationship with Elize. He learned that adults are fallible through his relationship with Lu Meng, and how to deal with sadness and frustration. His ability to trust continues to be tested, but he's learning to be a bit more open. The arrival of Sora was a difficult moment for Roxas, bringing up things that he had largely put aside, namely his existence and right to that. However, Sora's active show of support for Roxas has allowed him to rethink his relationship with his other, even if his does get overwhelmed by Sora's cheerfulness. Most recently, Roxas has been in a bit of turmoil due to the events with Piphron and Elize leaving. It is not so much meeting the arehtai himself, but the memories brought up while passing in through the cave. Elize leaving speaks for itself I believe, as Roxas now has to cope with that loss.
