State: | Development Report: Jaune has been bouncing back and forth between fear and bravery for the most part. Due to some development in canon, Jaune has come into Empatheias with a sense of cynicism and low-key paranoia, fearing that if he ever let his guard down again then tragedy can strike again at any time. He struggled to open his heart to Pyrrha because of that, and it had a slight effect on his relationship with the rest of his friends, too.
Presently, he has allowed himself to let go of some of those fears, largely thanks to all his friends from home. Being in love has also filled him with a newfound sense of confidence that he can overcome most challenges. He's still a realist at the end of the day, though, which is why the state of his crystal is neutral.
