Player: Wighty
Character: Edea Lee
Current Canon Point: After the final battle in the true end of Bravely Default
Updated Canon Point: After the final battle in Bravely Second (also after all the dramatic events that follow that battle)

Updated Background: Two and a half years after the events of Bravely Default, Tiz is still in a coma, Ringabel has vanished back into his world, Agnès is the Pope of the Crystal Orthodoxy, and Edea has been promoted to Knights Captain of the Eternian Ducal Guard. Her relationship with her father has improved and miraculously, all of the Asterisk bearers from the first game were saved with the help of a little time travel. ...Except Victor and Victoria. It's OK, no one liked Victoria anyway.

The events of the game kick off when Pope Agnès and Braev Lee are at a ceremony to sign a treaty between the Crystal Orthodoxy and the land of Eternia. Unfortunately, they are rudely interrupted halfway through by a man calling himself Kaiser Oblivion, who proceeds to wipe out everyone in the vicinity and kidnap Agnès. From there, events rapidly progress until a new party composed of Edea, the freshly-awakened Tiz, a young member of the Crystalguard named Yew Geneolgia, and a Baal Buster from the moon named Magnolia Arch join forces to bring back Agnès and take down the Kaiser.

As is expected now from a Bravely game, the party goes through all kinds of shenanigans, treks around the world, defeats a new hoard of Asterisk bearers, and steals everyone's clothes and powers shamelessly until they come to realize the Kaiser's true purpose: he is attempting to use Agnès to drive the Crystals of Luxendarc out of control once again, bringing back the Holy Pillar and using it to travel in time to create a new world. He is aided by a fairy named Anne, and his goal is to reverse the wrongs of the past.

Obviously, creating the new world would cause a paradox that erases the current one. So it's off to stop the Kaiser! They do pretty well, battling right to the Kaiser's base, the Skyhold, and confronting him just as he's ready to enter the Pillar!

Except, whoops, they fail. The Kaiser escapes, Anne uses the Holy Pillar to banish the Moon, time stops, and the world is destroyed by monsters called Ba'als that the Moon had held in check. Bad End achieved.

Fortunately, with the power of a certain Celestial spirit (the player) and the power of Bravely Second, they have the courage to give it another chance by restoring their memories to their past selves (don't try to understand, it doesn't make any sense). This time, they're able to preempt the Kaiser and stop his plans before they even happen. This, of course, is when they discover that the true enemy all along was Anne, who seeks to banish the Moon and use the Ba'als to destroy all of Luxendarc, paving the way for her master to come into the world. Throughout this, yet another Celestial, Altair, who has been advising the party reveals that the Ba'als are actually the fevered creations of his true love, Vega. Anne's master, Providence, was using Vega's emotions to create monsters from her most precious memories.

Though it looks grim, the party forces their way into the Celestial Realm, saves Vega from Providence's grasp, and removes the threat of Providence and the Ba'als forever! Happy ending for everyone all around!

...Everyone except Edea, of course, because a sideplot reveals that Ringabel, that jerk, has ditched her to go carousing around the multiverse and can't even be bothered to try to send her messages or anything. Worst boyfriend ever. Ringabel still doesn't come back and ditches her again after their brief meeting.

At least she gets to be Grand Marshal of Eternia now since her dad quits to become a tailor.

Updated Personality: Edea has not changed terribly much in the last three years! She is 21 now, going with the timeline established by Bravely Default, and if she's any more mature, it's only barely perceptibly so. She's still a sweets fiend, an inveterate glutton for anything edible, is far too enthusiastic about getting her friends together, and particularly in Bravely Second, serves as a large source of comic relief for some of the more serious events of the game.

However, her main development comes in a series of sidequests throughout the game where she's called to serve as a judge in several disputes. Though, well, any answer you give in these sidequests ends up being a good choice, they serve to demonstrate that Edea no longer views things in such harsh morality. She doesn't refer to things as black and white any longer, instead thinking long and hard about the pros and cons of any moral choice. She's become a less rigid thinker and is capable of understanding that there are shades of gray to any decision. As this is the direction she's been developing in the game as well, there probably won't be too much of a difference between Edea after a year and a half in Verens and Edea after two and a half years at home.

The last thing is that Edea's relationship with Ringabel is going to start off a bit strained since he keeps running around without her. GOD RINGABEL.

Updated Abilities: Edea has access to all kinds of new and shiny Asterisks! She will not, however, be bringing all of them to the game, although whenever Tiz canon updates, I think we can probably say that they at least own the Asterisks between them, even if no one uses them. The main new abilities Edea will have are:

Patissier (Level 11 Mastered) - An Asterisk that gives the ability for Edea to make poisonous food. So, you know, her normal shtick. The Patissier makes deadly desserts that inflict status effects, lowers stats, and induces elemental weaknesses in everyone who even touches the cakes.

Catmancer (Level 11 Mastered) - An Asterisk that allows the user to converse with cats and to learn different abilities from monsters. Edea won't learn anything from monsters here unless it's something I desperately want for some reason in which case I'll ask the mods for permission!

Guardian (Level 7) - An extremely defensive Asterisk that also allows the user to possess other people like a ghost. The effect can be resisted, of course, and I'll always request permission before using it on anyone.

I chose Patissier and Catmaster because they suit her personality and Guardian because she's a heavy armor sort of combatant. Dividing the new Asterisks equally means she should get about two and a half new jobs.

Additionally, Edea's current jobs will be nerfed and have their abilities reshuffled to be aligned with Bravely Second. They will lose three total abilities each as Jobs are now only 11 levels instead of 14. However, as Spiritmaster does not exist in Bravely Second, it will be unchanged in the context of the RP if she chooses to use it again.

Other: Edea will be bringing the three symbols of the Grand Marshal of Eternia with her: the Grand Marshal's Sword, the Grand Marshal's Shield, and the Grand Marshal's Staff. Ise-no-Kami, her signature weapon, is also still with her.

Questions: I think I'm good, thanks!
