He no longer sees himself as just a substitute, but is now dedicated to his role as a defense attorney. He was actually excited when he received a case immediately after Chief Vortex lifted his ban from standing in court. He's taken charge of his own destiny and is more capable of handling things on his own and making decisions without faltering as much.
