— PLAYER PLOT LOG —


We've had a lot of player plots that have come through as well as other smaller events that leave potential impacts on the setting. To make it easier to keep track for everyone, we've created this log!

We welcome and encourage all kinds of events and plots, especially if it can drive the game's emotional flow direction in any way. Thus if you have a particular event that you'd like to suggest, fill out the following form and we will discuss it with you either on here or in private depending on the nature of the plot.

Additionally, if your character has been through an event or has done something that could alter the setting in some way that should be noticeable by the population at large, fill out the following form! It could be something being destroyed, created, and it doesn't have to be something created by emotions. If something is built, like a new attraction or local location to visit, you can mention that, too! We will try to work it in, either by publicly announcing it or have tasks that may react to the change.

Hey! We had talked about this plot and we think that it's perfectly A-OK to run, especially since we've had at least one character who had done some minor stuff with drugs and whatnot before. These types of organizations would also definitely exist, so very doable. So to hit all your points...

1. For players getting involved, there would of course be OOC coordination and you can use the empatheias_ooc for posting it up and getting input. But you are also free to use the Task Board to post potential scenarios or "shady jobs" to help for visibility (especially for new players later on).
   
   In terms of consequences, while those framed will initially be seen as guilty, they will have trials and representation (the AA cast would probably love this) and so long as their proof of innocence, there would only be minimum jail holding time.
   
   
2. Another potential is to offer characters who would actually want to be part of the organization. I imagine how that would work is they take on shady job, realize what's going, and decide to join instead. Two outcomes for that is they get caught in the bust or be caught later. This can be a little more complicated, though, but something to consider in case a player asks.
   
   
3. For the bust and everything about this, the local law enforcement will have to be involved, so communication with players who have characters working there will be important in case they want to play a role. Enforcers general won't mind the PCs looking and around and investigating, but they probably will want some control instead of a wild free style. Though for the most part, so long as the Enforcers are informed of what's going on, they probably won't mind PCs doing heavy lifting in the take down.
   
   
4. As for the drug itself, we are very open to ideas as to how it could work. Usually we have general vague effects like swinging one emotional high to another, usually for the euphoria. It's mostly to mirror drugs found in the real world, but there can be fun tangents and offshoots with additional effects. So long as opt-in and not pushing drug use (like "If you participate you have the option of your character taking the drug and trying to see what it does") it should be okay, but just be aware that drug use may be a sensitive topic for some.

Just checking on a timeframe thing - can we go ahead and start the ball running on this, for duration of about a month or so?

We've got an OOC + IC post drafted and ready to go to kick things off whenever we get the clear.

(As a minor note, there has been a drug in the past created from crushed crystals, so for this new drug you might say that the methods have been refined or changed or it arose from a completely different source, etc.)
