"Is there a reason August applications were not open for a full week as originally promised?"

Unfortunately, in the shuffle of losing our head mod and gaining a new mod team we messed up a bit and defaulted to our normal 4 day schedule. Our later mod posts written describe having only 4 days for the August cycle, including both our May mid-month and August 1st announcement, so we went with that. The 4 day cycle is mentioned on the apps and reserves page, but we understand that not everyone checks these things all the time. Apologies for the confusion created on our part!
