We've had a lot of player plots that have come through as well as other smaller events that leave potential impacts on the setting. To make it easier to keep track for everyone, we've created this log!

We welcome and encourage all kinds of events and plots, especially if it can drive the game's emotional flow direction in any way. Thus if you have a particular event that you'd like to suggest, fill out the following form and we will discuss it with you either on here or in private depending on the nature of the plot.

Additionally, if your character has been through an event or has done something that could alter the setting in some way that should be noticeable by the population at large, fill out the following form! It could be something being destroyed, created, and it doesn't have to be something created by emotions. If something is built, like a new attraction or local location to visit, you can mention that, too! We will try to work it in, either by publicly announcing it or have tasks that may react to the change.

Trey will find that most of the major settlements were created after the old war, with Shaarnath and Theasthai having been founded with their respective Arehtei's help. Otherwise, however, there is no evidence that the natives did not originate from this world.

He will also find that there have been marked improvements to various lands since the Otherworlders have lent their help, with the once-unsurvivable wastelands clearing up in spots such as Diateris of Elios' lands.

Verens natives and libraries will be able to tell him of the month and year that Otherworlders began appearing (Penta/August of 814/2014), and will have no knowledge of any previous arrivals.

References to the war will be difficult to find in Verens aside from asking the Arehtei themselves, but Shaarnath will have records and stories describing it as between different human factions, only for the Arehtei to wake and forcefully bring it to an end. However, the exact circumstances are still unclear as to what caused the current state of the world.

February Mini- Plot proposal

Plot idea: Hey do you guys remember his previous blind dates? Well how about doing it around the time that is Valentine's day (of course not what it's called it here but that own't stop Eikichi. This time he's going in with a full disclaimer that it is blind dates and course nothing bad can happen!

Temporary or Permanent? Temporary, for like a week in April.
Description: Bulat's been low-key helping out at his beloved Zephyras flower festival for several years and has had a lot of positive feelings about it - and since he's planning to propose on this upcoming one, he wants it to be extra special. Which is to say, he wants to set up a love-and-flower themed obstacle course as one of the attractions.

It seems weird to do something like that and not have it be part of the whole festival, so if I write up a description and send it to you all, would you put it in the main post with the hedge maze and other activities? I don't want to step on anything too similar that's already planned, so I'm asking early!

This sounds like fun, and we would be happy to incorporate the obstacle course in one of the prompts in the Flower Festival! At the moment, we don't have anything similar planned, and we are more than happy to tweak any prompts that may end up overlapping with yours.

Plot Proposal: HEIST!

Character(s): Roman (with interest expressed from Ban, Emerald and Billy, as well as the potential for more as things play out)
Plot idea: Short version: Roman wants to steal an Airship.

Long version: Basically Roman is getting bored and wants to do some crime and what better way than to break into the Airship docks and steal an airship. I've outlined three phases for how things will run:

1. Setup/Gathering people/Shopping montage - As mentioned above, some interest has been expressed on plurk/cr memes by other players and so I was considering an OOC call for anyone else who would like to join in the heisting.
On an IC basis it would also mean setting up a plan, gathering materials and disguises for that plan, and exploring the airship docks for weaknesses/what they're working with.

2. HEIST - The actual heist in all its inevitably chaotic glory.

3. Fallout - Success or Failure and whatever comes after that.

I guess what I am looking for from you mods is a) approval, b) what sort of obstacles would be present at the airship docks?
and c) what would be the best way to measure success or failure? (a dice roll? succeeding in a certain number of tasks?) Further to that, what would failure look like?

As far as obstacles go, the severity will depend on what kind of ship they decide to go after! Bigger or fancier ships will have more security measures, including chains, security guards (armed with better weapons and even dunamis for the especially pricey ships), and locks on the controls. The crew will also need to have the knowledge to fly it out of there, of course.

When you've settled on a team and a plan, let us know and we can tell you whether it will succeed or fail!

A failure could end up with anything from injury to incarceration for a month or so, and maybe some community service. They'll be wanted for a while regardless, so if they do get away, they might want to lay low for a while. We're willing to work with you on what you'd find most fun to play with, so we can discuss options!

Character(s): Blue Oak, Archie, posssibly Plumeria if she gets in!
Plot idea: So Blue and Archie are really buttmad about the Beast Master Guild and the encouragement of what they see as wanton monster-slaughter, so during July they're planning to graffiti and vandalize the guild's building! Nothing harmful to anyone inside- just defacing of the building with paint and maybe minor Pokémon-caused damage to the structure.

We wanted to ask about the consequences/suggest the idea for the taskboard in August to have a task to find out who did it!

If you'd like I can link the thread in Blue's catchall where it happens so you guys can see the exacts.

Plot Proposal

Character(s): Billy the Kid and anyone else who wants to join in
Plot idea: A town in the middle of nowhere is beset by a corrupt mayor and law enforcement. After witnessing someone being harassed Billy is either asked, or steps in, to help. Ending up injuring or killing (depending on the consequences there of), of several deputies.

From then on he becomes wanted and is painted as a criminal. Eventually he ends up trying to form a gang and teach the townsfolk to stand up against their oppressors.

Tl;dr - basically i'm proposing magnificent seven meets young guns meets a fistful of dollars.

Given the content though I'm hoping to get approval for it, find out the potential consequences during and after the plot. Especially since I know that killing tends to carry some very harsh weight with it in game.

Sorry for the wait!

For the most part, the consequences for them being caught would be minor, with a month of community service and not being able to take future tasks from the guild. Given that the guild is held in pretty high regard by Verens citizens thanks to keeping the city safe from the more dangerous monsters, they might find themselves scorned by a few of the natives and their businesses, but not for very long.

We'd love to put up a task for it! Just drop the details over here and we'll make sure it's on next month's board.

Unfortunately, there are no real settlements that would be appropriate for this sort of plot! All of the villages on the island outside of Verens are small enough that they don't have any actual "law enforcement" outside of a handful of people and the occasional mercenary. They're largely farming and hunting villages, meaning the people there are a little more hardy and capable of taking care of (and defending) themselves.

However, if you do have any ideas that could be work more easily with the setting, please let us know!

PLOT PROPOSAL

Plot idea: Last year after the attack on TitanSosyne, Serah put on a Fireworks Festival. She'd been planning it since she arrived, but that was the best time for it, after a bunch of not so great things. Seeing as how she'd want to try to keep it around the same time and hopefully it doesn't bump into any plotty plot things the mods have going in the beginning of September, I'd want to shoot for having a log up on September 7th but wouldn't mind the extra advertising in a mod announcement ;) If that's not feasible, I'll figure things out and shoot for a different date!
