[ canon update ]
If you'd like to update your character to a different canon point, fill out the form below and comment to this entry. Please note that characters can only be updated to source material that has been out for at least one month. We will try and process canon updates within 48 hours.
ICly, When your character is on a canon update, they completely disappear from the world. It's almost as if they were removed the game, however there's a key difference. Their amulet will remain and be in a translucent state. Characters will be gone from the game from three days to a week. They will reappear wherever their amulet is and can continue their progress from wherever they left off. They will also retain all of their memories.

Current Canon Point: End of Season 1
Updated Canon Point: Season 5 Episode 6: When the gang is passing out from lack of oxygen!
Updated Background: Soooooo Hunk is playing a ridiculous amount of catch up. Finally. The last thing he remembered back home was being sent into a corrupted wormhole. I am going to link this here for more detailed background on seasons 2-4. A brief summary of all that is:
Season 2: Hunk gets to chill and save some brainwashed mermaids, visit a wonderful space mall, learn about a secret rebel Galra force who Keith has ties to, harass a giant, dead planet eating space worm, and fight with his teammates to take down a meched out version of the big bad Zarkon, only to realize that their leader has magically poofed from his cockpit!
Season 3: Lion Musical Chairs! Hunk gets to keep Yellow, thankfully, and then deals with Keith's "unique" style of leadership while trying not to die as Lotor essentially just fucks around with Team Voltron. The gang visits an alternate reality where Alteans are Bad! and chase Lotor around to get back the transreality comet he stole from them, and learn the story about how the Lions came to exist and how the Galra came to dominate the universe.
Season 4: With Keith dual wielding Team Voltron and the Blade of Marmora duties, the team focuses on building up relations with their growing coalition, and rebel forces. Eventually, bad shit goes down and Shiro takes up leadership again with Keith leaving the team. Hunk gets to meet Matt after Pidge brings him back, and the team learn that Zarkon is trying to take out his own son.
The Voltron Show happens, but we're not going to talk about that.
The coalition comes together and the team goes all out to take back 1/3 of the Galra occupied worlds! Except things don't go as planned and when everything looks bleak and terrible, Lotor actually shows up to save the day?!
Season 5 is where things pick up pace and is where Hunk will be returning from! The summaries leave some aspects out as I tried to keep them more focused on the parts Hunk was around for.
Lotor proves useful in giving the team intel on key Galra outposts and facilities to take down. Eventually, he informs them about Pidge and Matt's father being held in a prison, but unfortunately they don't find him there. Zarkon calls them and offers to exhange their father for Lotor. The team debates the pros and cons of this, with Pidge being the most vocal about giving Lotor up, and Lance agreeing as well, but Hunk for once taking the opposite side, and believing it better to keep Lotor.
Eventually the team decides to go through with the switch only to find that Zarkon has betrayed the deal and sent a hologram of Pidge's father out. Lotor and Zarkon duel while the others attempt to rescue Pidge's father. They are ultimately successful in their rescue, and Lotor kills Zarkon seemingly once and for all.
With Zarkon gone, there is a power void in the Galra empire and a perfect change to put Lotor on the throne. Lotor brings up the Kral Zera which is where the next leader of the Galra will be decided. With all the most powerful commanders planning to attend, the team things it is too dangerous to go with Voltron, while Shiro tries to pull rank as the leader and insist they go, eventually snapping at Lance who tries to calm the arguing between Shiro and Allura. The decision gets put on hold when the Olkari are attacked by the Galra. After a difficult battle the team gets a chance to rest.
Lotor informs the team about the most likely candidates to attend the Kral Zera, and Shiro again asserts that they assist Lotor in claiming the throne. When the team decides against it, Shiro takes the Black Lion and goes with Lotor alone to the Kral Zera. By the time the team realizes they've left, the two have arrived at the ceremony. Lotor fights a beefed up Sendak, with Keith joining the fray as he had been there on a Blade of Marmora mission to blow the whole thing up. Just when it seems things are getting a bit too hot to handle, the others show up and Voltron cleans house, allowing Lotor to take the throne.
Lotor invites the team to Galra Central Command, where they learn parts of the empire have aligned themselves with Lotor, while others were still looking to contest and take control. While Shiro and Coran go to share systems information, and Allura goes with Lotor to check out Haggars sweet loot room, Hunk goes off on an actually fun series of adventures with Lance, Pidge, and their new Sentry Robot Buddy! After tweaking it to know what fun is, the four do things such as blow up food goo, taking hilarious photos, golfing with wrecked sentry's arms, tying a pair of guards up and them ramming them together, before ultimately sending their Sentry Robot Buddy off into space taped up to a Robeast coffin! The trio salute their starbound friend as it blasts off to who knows where.
While those three were having a blast, Lotor and Allura learned of the location of a legendary Altean Atlantis. Hidden in a white hole, the team attempts to enter the hidden realm, but ultimately get blasted out of it, losing power to their lions and the castleship. Lotor realizes that only the chosen Alteans can enter, and so Allura and him enter the white hole together. The rest of the team hangs back in the castleship, that is slowly losing oxygen without any of the power available. Hunk, Pidge and Coran attempt to repair the ship, while Shiro and Lance talk in the outside hall. Just when they're almost out of air, Allura and Lotor return and save them by returning power to the ship.
Hunk is being pulled from this moment when the team is all pretty much at the end of their oxygen and passing out.
Updated Personality: Hunk's personality is pretty much the same. However, his skills at piloting and fighting have grown, giving him a bit more confidence in those areas. For the most part this update is more about him catching up events wise with the rest of his canonmates.
Updated Abilities: No new abilities here, although his bayard canon can take on a slightly different shape.
Other: Given the massive amount of time he has just experienced back home, and having over a year's worth of memories in Empatheias, AND suffering from some slight oxygen deprivation, Hunk is going to be a bit sick and out of it when he first returns. His memories from his time in Empatheias will be shaky as well initially, taking a few days for things in his poor head to settle and start making sense.
Hunk will be gone for a week for this update.
