— CANON UPDATE —

If you'd like to update your character to a different canon point, fill out the form below and comment to this entry. Please note that characters can only be updated to source material that has been out for at least one month. We will try and process canon updates within 48 hours.

ICly, When your character is on a canon update, they completely disappear from the world. It's almost as if they were removed the game, however there's a key difference. Their amulet will remain and be in a translucent state. Characters will be gone from the game from three days to a week. They will reappear wherever their amulet is and can continue their progress from wherever they left off. They will also retain all of their memories.

If you have any questions, contact one of the mods or ask them on the form.

Player: Ryoko
Character: Connor
Current Canon Point: Post "Public Enemy"
Updated Canon Point: Mid "Meet Kamski," right before making the decision to shoot or not.

Updated Background: Nineteen hours have passed. Markus, leader of the deviants, has headed a break in to several CyberLife stores, freeing hundreds of androids and spreading a message of freedom and peace through hacked screens and messages left on the buildings nearby.

With the situation escalating towards a potential revolution, Hank has reached out to his contacts to get in touch with the founder of CyberLife, Kamski, who left the company years before, in the hopes of finding some new insights. Connor accompanies him, and after a phone call outside of Kamski's home, they discover that a fellow policeman was attacked by deviants during the break-in of the night before, only to be saved by Markus himself.

When they head inside, Connor discovers from a photo on the wall that his CyberLife handler, Amanda, was based off Kamski's deceased mentor, indicating his deep connections to the code the company uses even now. After a short wait, the two finally speak to the reclusive creator of androids, only for him to speak cryptically, demand Connor's personal opinions (which he's not supposed to have), and drive the detective prototype to the defensive.

Kamski then moves one of his Chloe androids to her knees, hands Connor a gun, and presents him with two options: he can either shoot her and get information for his investigation, or spare the android and leave without learning anything new. This is what he refers to as the "Kamski test," to see whether machines are capable of empathy.

Connor struggles between what he knows CyberLife would want him to do... and what's the right thing to do.

Updated Personality: Nothing much has changed, but Connor has been faced with yet another decision that drives him towards emotional responses rather than the logical outcome his programming and the company that built him intended for him. That, and finding out your creator is a gigantic douchebag gives you a lot to think about.

Updated Abilities: Nothing new. Same ol robocop.

Other: He'll be coming in with the gun that Kasmki handed him. He'll be gone on the 16th and coming back the 19th.

Questions: Nope.
