[ canon update ]

— CANON UPDATE —

If you'd like to update your character to a different canon point, fill out the form below and comment to this entry. Please note that characters can only be updated to source material that has been out for at least one month. We will try and process canon updates within 48 hours.

ICly, When your character is on a canon update, they completely disappear from the world. It's almost as if they were removed the game, however there's a key difference. Their amulet will remain and be in a translucent state. Characters will be gone from the game from three days to a week. They will reappear wherever their amulet is and can continue their progress from wherever they left off. They will also retain all of their memories.

If you have any questions, contact one of the mods or ask them on the form.

(I did this post on mobile and somehow half of it was eaten when I hit post, I'm so sorry.
let me re-write what parts got eaten somewhere along the line.)

Updated Background: Events including Chaldea Summer Memory/Heat Odyssey, Prisma Codes, Return of Nerofest, Super Ghouls'n Goblins, and The Little Santa Alter.
Arjuna is a recluse and a shut-in and he didn't actively take part in a great many of the events. Save for Nerofest--in which he mistakenly participates in due to thinking it would be a great chance for him to be able to face-off against his rival in an arena for all to see. Instead, it turned out that he would be fighting side-by-side with Karna, and against the main character instead. This makes Arjuna angry and he's forced to participate in a way he doesn't wish to, anyway.

Storywise, Babylonia and the conclusion of the First Order: Solomon. Babylonia was the most stressful time spent in a singularity yet--and while Arjuna truly only 'joined' Ritsuka after the chapter of E Plubris Unum in America--the happenings in Babylonia were so far divorced from what had happened in other singularities that it was eye-opening to what sort of terrible things the world could have been overrun with were he not to aid his Master in saving the world. Staying in Uruk with King Gilgamesh for weeks on end, carrying out pointless tasks for him--followed by watching the sea get swallowed by a primordial wave of evil as Tiamat attempted to swallow the last city with humans living in it was a horrifying eye-opener to how close humanity came to truly being wiped out.
While in the end, they succeeded in dragging Tiamat to the underworld in order to render her as a being who 'could be killed', it came far too close for anyone to be comfortable with, what with some less than 500 humans being left alive by the end of it.

And it wasn't as if Ritsuka and the rest of the servants in Chaldea came home and were afforded a break after Babylon's events. After each singularity, there would always be a short few weeks of rest for everyone before heading towards the next fault in humanity's history--the moment Babylon was saved, a new rift opened: the Throne where Solomon, the man behind the destruction of humanity, sat and waited to watch everything perish.

Once inside; the situation looked impossible. Where each Singularity ended with Ritsuka's servants having to fight one Demon Pillar, a physical manifestation of evil that bound the land to its damnation... Solmon's throne held literal Millions of them.

Alongside each and every single servant Ritsuka had met and contracted with, Arjuna too fought alongside them all to see each and every pillar destroyed. Even going so far as to admit that teaming up alongside his brother--someone he has claimed to vehemently hate since the day he was summoned--to see who could defeat the most pillars. They come to a reasonable truce while fighting alongside those who they fought with and against in the E Plubris Unum/America chapter, they all somehow prevailed.

Solomon was found--and nay, Goetia was faced at the center of it all. Defeating him did not come without sacrifice, as a dear friend was lost during he conclusion of the great and nearly impossible battle--but for better or worse, the evil was purged and Grand Order was restored to humanity. The purpose in which Arjuna was first summoned to assist Ritsuka with has been concluded, and Humanity has been 'restored', thereby he upheld his title of 'Hero' in aiding saving the world.

It was a bunch of foolish things followed by an even bigger pile of serious things, and it all ended not-quite-so cleanly and neatly as one might have hoped. But at least it's over.\

(For now.)
