[ archived ] mailbox
Welcome to the NPC mailbox. Characters are free to send letters to the various NPCs currently in charge of the city. All replies will also be written and sent via messenger bird. Replies may take a while as they are busy officials.
Requests to meet NPCs in person are doable, but there is no guarantee it will happen—at least immediately. Efforts will be made when possible.
Since inquiries are sent via letter, you can write them as long or as short as you wish.
To schedule a thread with an Arehtei, refer to this entry.

"Ocean...what was it like? Was it as deep red as the kind we tend to see from our under-island observatories? Or was it different? Oh, oh, was it related to Sosyne?"
no subject
Of course sometimes it had been hard to and it hadn't been pleasant. But they managed to pull through.
"Yes it was Sosyne's territory. When we stopped to meditate, our combined calm had some limited effects."
no subject
"And only limited? But that's better than nothing, right? So there's some hope!"
no subject
"Oh yes, there is hope. Perhaps with more people, a more lasting difference can be made there."
no subject
"Now, let's see what you have here," she says as she returns to the main topic at hand and looks over at the pipe and pieces of cores. She'll carefully pick up the core, turning it over in her hand.
"...Hm... Hm..."
With that musing hum, she walks over to the desk and pulls out a different kind of device. It looks similar to the microscope, but there are several different knobs and levels, and the tray holder is also shaped differently. Setting the core inside, she looks into the eyepiece and starts her examining.
"Yes...yes I see...ooh, how fascinating! These are indeed similar to our own cores, but the formation is different."
no subject
The Jedi then waits patiently as she exams the core, folding his hands in his overly large sleeves.
"Formation? What do you mean?"
no subject
"Basically it's like how all rocks and crystals have different internal structures depending on where and how they were form. So you could say that these cores might only be found in that area, whereas ours may only be found here and maybe whatever piece of continent the island originated from."
no subject
That would certainly make sense. He's no expert on rocks or geologic formations, but he knew enough that not all rocks are created equal.
"But would that affect the way that they work?"
no subject
She turns to open a drawer and take out a sample of said earth core.
"Incidentally, these are also different from ours, but the core you brought is also different from theirs! I wasn't sure if it was just because it was an earth core, as there are slight differences between the elements, but this looks like a water one. And there's a definite big difference there!"
As said before, her thought process is going in all different directions.
"As for affect in function, it's possible there's no real difference, but it's also possible that these may have different strength levels. I'd have to run a few tests to be sure."
no subject
"Interesting. I would very much like to know what you find in your tests."
His gaze then turned to the other objects that he had brought with him. The crystal pipes.
"But what about these? Have you ever seen anything like this before?"
